A Little Bit of History

Dave and Mary Alexander have lived in southern Indiana for many years. Back in the 1980s, they encountered a gorgeous bluff that overlooked Oil Creek and knew right away that it would be the perfect place for a cabin. That was 28 years ago. In 1989 and 1990, they moved the cabins to the bluff and they actually have been the site of several nuptials. Not only did Dave and Mary have their wedding there, many other couples have tied the knot there, as well, over the years.

The biggest joy Dave and Mary get out of their cabin rentals is the people. They've met wonderful folks from all over the world—from distant travelers to local getaway-seekers—since they've run their business. In fact, it's such a beautiful, attractive site that many photographers come there for inspiration, and recently the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleading Squad did their photo shoot at the cabins for their 2010-2011 calendar.

“ Hey, We had a wonderful time here, the hummingbirds were fun, the bunnies, birds and just the quiet, it was great. Keep up the good work. Thank you and God bless you both. P.S. Hate to leave! ”
